W Square Containers rents 20 foot, 40 foot, and 40 foot High Cube shipping containers across South Dakota. They are run by Daron, who has also owned Wheelhouse Auto Body on the same Pierre lot since 2000, so the yard has been a going concern here a long time.

Actual dimensions

Useful before you plan a pad or a gate:

20 foot: outside 8'6" high, 8' wide, 20' long. Inside 7'10" by 7'8" by 19'4". Door opening 7'5" by 7'8".
40 foot: same height and width, 40' long. Inside 39'5" long.
40 foot High Cube: a foot taller. 9'6" outside, 8'10" inside, 8'5" door.

That extra foot on a High Cube matters more than it sounds if you are stacking pallets or standing anything upright.

Built for the weather here

Our rental units are wind and watertight, retired from ocean stacking service but entirely sound for storage on the ground. That is the important distinction against a garden shed: corrugated steel that shrugs off a blizzard, drifting, and the wind that comes across open ground in February.

Nothing to blow apart, nothing for the snow load to collapse.

No minimum, no maximum

Rent one for a fortnight or three years. We do not tie you into a term, and we do not penalise you for keeping it longer than planned. Job sites run late; that is not your problem to pay for.
